Overview
The Alchemer Virtual Incentives integration uses Basic Authentication to authenticate.
This authentication method requires an API username and API password provided by Virtual Incentives.

How to Get Your Virtual Incentives API Credentials
1. Steps for creating/getting API credentials
Virtual Incentives API credentials are created and managed within your Virtual Incentives account by your account administrator. If you do not have access to API credentials, contact Virtual Incentives Support or your program administrator to request them.
Authenticate Virtual Incentives in Alchemer
After obtaining your Virtual Incentives API credentials, add them to the Alchemer Virtual Incentives integration. Credentials are securely stored in Alchemer and can be reused across multiple workflow actions.
How to Authenticate
1. Start a New Authentication

Inside any Virtual Incentives integration action, select New Authentication.
2. Enter Your Virtual Incentives Credentials
- Provide the following:
- API Username
- API Password
3. Save Your Authentication

Select Create.

Once created:

The authentication is saved and can be reused for all Virtual Incentives workflow actions.

You only need to update it if your API credentials change or expire.
