You or Chatmeter can initiate the transfer of new or updated location information for your Facebook pages. For Chatmeter to do this, you must have verified (claimed) the pages and we need account credentials.
In this article, learn what Chatmeter needs from you to manage Facebook location additions and updates and how to verify Facebook pages.
Chatmeter can add 5 to 10 locations per week on Facebook, or as many as 20 in the span of a month.
Sharing Facebook credentials with Chatmeter
Chatmeter must have credential permission for the parent page and any connected location-specific child pages on the account. In addition:
- Two-factor authentication must be set up
- Chatmeter must be an admin on all pages or on the parent page, with admin access to all child pages
- Partner Access on Facebook is acceptable.
Verifying Facebook pages
If you don’t have control over all your location pages, you can attempt to verify (claim) Facebook pages that are under someone else’s control. You can ask them to add you as an admin. Note that a Facebook page can’t be added to multiple business managers.
If this doesn’t work, you can contact Facebook support to request to verify the page, providing them with a notarized document such as a business license or tax bill to support the request.
If your attempt to claim the page is unsuccessful, it’s usually best to set up a new page that you control.
Note that it isn't possible to bulk verify Facebook accounts. Instead, Chatmeter can set up a structure composed of a parent page with child locations or add all locations to a business manager.
