Overview
The Alchemer Microsoft Azure integration uses a Shared Access Signature (SAS) URL to authenticate.
A SAS URL grants secure, time-bound access to your Azure Blob Storage container, allowing Alchemer to upload files per survey response.

What You Need
- A valid SAS URL with Read & Write permission for the target Blob Storage container.
How to Get Your Microsoft Azure SAS URL
1. Steps for creating a SAS URL
- Open the Azure Portal and navigate to your Storage Account.
- Select Blob Service → Containers.
- Choose the container you want to use with Alchemer.
- Select Shared access tokens (or “Generate SAS”).
- Set the required permissions:
- Write — required
- Create — recommended
- Read — optional but helpful
- Set a secure expiration date based on your organization’s policy.
- Click Generate SAS token and URL.
- Copy the generated SAS URL.

Authenticate Microsoft Azure in Alchemer
After generating your SAS URL, add it to the Alchemer Microsoft Azure integration. Credentials are securely stored in Alchemer and can be reused across all Azure actions.
How to Authenticate
1. Start a New Authentication

Inside any Microsoft Azure integration action, select New Authentication.
2. Enter Your Microsoft Azure Credentials
Provide the following:

SAS URL — the full SAS URL including token parameters (starts with
https://...)
3. Save Your Authentication

Select Create.

Once created:

The authentication is saved and reused for all Microsoft Azure actions.

You only need to update it if your SAS URL expires or permissions change.
