Overview
The Alchemer Basecamp integration uses OAuth to authenticate.
Basecamp API Credentials
What You Need
- Your Basecamp person ID (found in your Basecamp URL)
- Basecamp login credentials
Authenticate Basecamp in Alchemer
How to Authenticate
1. Start a New Authentication
-
Inside any Basecamp integration action, select New Authentication.
2. Enter Your Basecamp Person ID
-
Provide your Basecamp person ID.
- Your person ID is visible in your Basecamp URL when you are logged in to Basecamp. Copy it from the URL and paste it into the authentication field in Alchemer.
3. Allow Access to the Basecamp Connector
-
After entering your person ID, a pop-out window will appear.
- If you are not already logged in to Basecamp, you may be prompted to log in first using your Basecamp credentials.
- Once you are logged in, the pop-out will display a button that reads Yes, I’ll allow access to Basecamp connector. Click this button to grant Alchemer permission to connect to your Basecamp account.
- Note: If the pop-out appears and disappears on its own and the authentication completes, that means you were already logged in and had previously granted access. There is no need to do anything else.
4. Your authentication is now saved and ready to use across all Basecamp integration actions.
